The resumption of physical school has been a source of distress for many parents who found themselves financially unable to afford school items to permit their children to return to the classroom. With many underprivileged households struggling to provide basic food items, the reality is that uniforms, shoes and textbooks are not within their reach.
In 2022, KIND engaged in Back to School partnerships with corporate T & T to deliver back-to-school essentials - uniforms, shoes, schoolbag, textbooks, and stationery for approximately 150 students. This gave all students involved in this programme the opportunity to return to the classroom and continue their educational journey.
KIND recognizes that this need is significant and would welcome corporate support to sustain and expand this initiative.
