OVERVIEW
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, all people have the right to stable education and to community duties essential for free and full development.
KIND’s work has always been to ensure that all children and their families—especially those most at-risk or in need—can enjoy these rights to the fullest. All of our programs are designed to help remove barriers to education for those in need and to provide holistic opportunities for, Academic, physical, emotional, social, and moral development.
We aim to foster and facilitate greater community involvement and engagement. The scope of KIND’s work can be divided into several different areas of operation: material support, education provision, and community engagement/volunteerism.
EDUCATION
At KIND, we believe that a sound education encompasses academic, cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.

The Kind Mind Initiative seeks to help children and families in need by involving them in programs conducive to a holistic education.

Programs under the Kind Mind Initiative offer participants a broad spectrum of engagement, both within and outside of the classroom.

Specific programs include: remedial education classes, the Martial Arts program, artistic engagement, adult and computer literacy programs, and much more.

We recognize that improving the lives of many people requires the acquisition of specific skills and training.
In 2018, we expanded our educational offerings by introducing computer literacy classes, establishing a resource-linking cybercafé, and developing a youth leadership program to prepare young people for future success.

MATERIAL SUPPORT
KIND is dedicated to eliminating barriers to education and development by providing children and families with the material support they need.
Our efforts include:

Provision of monthly hampers to families in need.

Assisting with school attendance through our Sponsor A Child To Learn Campaign.

Distribution of clothing and other items where possible.

To achieve these goals, we rely heavily on your generosity. While we do organize fundraising events and apply for grants, the majority of the support we provide is made possible through your donations.

SPONSOR A CHILD TO LEARN PROGRAMME
Did you know that giving a small sum each month can help to completely transform the lives of children in need?
Many children of primary and secondary school age are unable to go to school on a regular basis - simply because their parents or guardians cannot afford to send them. The consistent provision of basic material needs is crucial for children to be able to attend school and break the cycle of poverty which continues to affect too many families.
THE KIND MIND INITIATIVE
For children to become healthy, well-adjusted, and productive members of society, several areas of development must be addressed. These include academic, cognitive, social, emotional, moral, and physical development.
The KIND MIND Initiative intends to affect the holistic development of children. The program incorporates three components; literacy competency, social education, and martial arts practice.
ACTS OF RANDOM KINDNESS (ARK)
ARK aims to develop a widespread culture of sharing and giving and to change our national conversation to encourage young people to use social media as an outlet for positive inspiration rather than the many negatives that pervade them presently.
KIND CONNECT
Kind Connect offers computer literacy with a plan to transform our computer lab into an internet cafe and resource center so that our beneficiaries will have access to this space to connect with computer and internet-based resources. Our beneficiaries will have access to opportunities designed to enhance their skills and improve their living situations.
